I am a full time writer of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. I am a native of Boston, Massachusetts, a Simmons College graduate, and a Golden Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; a Past President of the Boston Alumnae Chapter.
In November 2008 I received a Certificate of Completion from www.nanowrimo.org, signifying that I wrote 50,260 words of a first draft of a new novel titled, "Raye of Hope" in 30 days. I hope to have it published in 2010.
My current published novel is "Repairman Jones". It is a contemporary novel gathered in part, from years of working as a senior residential property manager. During my career, I collected volumes of 'war stories' that I decided would work well as a series of novels. "Repairman Jones" is the story of a middle aged maintenance man in the throes of a personal and business ethical dilemma. Finding himself in a mid-life crisis, Al Jones begins to seek out sexual affairs with the female tenants where he works. Buy the book and read what happens to him!
I am now working on my sequel novel, titled "Repairman Blues". This book will chronicle the next chapters in the challenging life of repairman Alvin Jones.
"Urban Poetry", is a collection of 60 poems I have written over decades of living, loving, good and bad relationships, joy and pain, sorrow, heartbreak, and the challenges of city life. I am currently working on "Urban Poetry 2 and Essays".
